Sample Coolers

Sample coolers are devices that allow the extraction of volatile high temperature compounds for safe analysis during the production cycle. They involve passing a sample through a cooling medium removing enough heat to allow the properties and chemical composition of the solution to be examined to ensure the quality of the process and material.

Maineport manufacture two styles of unit, in increased and atmospheric pressure types depending on customer preference.

Pressurised Unit

This style of unit comprises of a main chamber containing the cooling medium, cooling coil and the required flange connections for each circuit. The cooling medium is passed through the unit at pressure and is held in closed circuit. The cooling coil, is surrounded by the cooling medium, and is held in position within the main chamber.

Atmospheric Unit

Atmospheric units have a similar configuration to the pressurised units, with the cooling coil be held inside the main chamber. The cooling medium is at atmospheric pressure and is allowed to drain freely through an overspill tube placed inside the coil assembly.

Accessories

Each sample cooler comes with a wide range of flange connections, stands and covers. High pressures and temperatures can be accommodated through special designs and materials.
